Worth, Cost, and Calling: Financial Clarity for Spiritual Directors (session 1: Uncovering your money story)
(session 1 of 3) We begin with reflective, spiritually grounded work. Participants will explore the formative experiences—familial, cultural, and religious—that shaped their current beliefs and behavior around money, worth, and ministry. Through guided journaling and small-group sharing, we’ll explore the formative experiences and unspoken assumptions that often lead to undercharging or over-giving. You’ll leave with clarity around the core values that will guide your pricing, not as a number, but as an expression of your personal integrity.
This three-session virtual workshop series helps spiritual directors and other fee-based care providers align their fees with their values. Participants uncover their own money stories, calculate the true costs of their practice, and explore the reality of what financial accessibility might mean, without apology. Participants will leave the course with practical tools and the language to hold both worth and generosity with spiritual integrity. Led by Rev. Sara Green and Rachel Maxwell, and hosted by Rev. Tandi Rogers.
