Spiritual Direction Philosophy
I am a spiritual director, hospice chaplain, social justice activist, and Unitarian Universalist Minister.
Spiritual direction is a sacred companionship, mapping spiritual
landscapes, tracing hidden depths and winding paths that lead to the Holy.
Together, we listen for the subtle movements of the Spirit,
seeking healing in the places we inhabit, and finding comfort in the sacred
ground within us. Through deep presence, prayerful discernment, and the
gentle offering of spiritual practices, I will support you in
tending your spirit with compassion. In healing, we are made ready to travel
into the world, bearing the light and grace of the journey and
drawn ever deeper into the Divine mystery.
Testimony from a Spiritual Directee:
Testimonial:
“Working with Amy has been a deeply grounding and affirming experience. She brings a gentle, embodied presence and offers tools that engage the senses—inviting connection to spirit, self, and the present moment. As a queer, nonbinary person in a witch circle, I have always felt fully seen and supported in my spiritual journey with her. Her care is expansive and inclusive, honoring the wide spectrum of identities and traditions people bring into sacred space. In a season of deep uncertainty, her encouragement has really stuck with me and I am profoundly grateful for her presence in my life.” – Anne
